Renko Floral

Ren Macdonald-Balasia worked for major floral designers and event producers in LA and New York including Emily Thompson Flowers, before founding her own Los Angeles and Honolulu-based studio, Renko, in 2018. Her arrangements are inspired by a longtime fascination with ethnobotany, as well as her roots growing up between her grandmother’s home in Hawaii and California. Foraging is central to her process, and her arrangements incorporate a diverse range of materials beyond the blooms typically found in flower markets - Renko embraces the strange and eerie sides of nature. Renko frequently creates arrangements for Loewe, and has created editorial designs for publications such as T Magazine and Teen Vogue.
